By all accounts Tolkien was a very amenable and helpful fellow. Due to this there are quite a number of books that credit him for contributions of various kinds - proof reading, offering advice & criticism and general encouragement, etc.
This area is currently under construction, but it will include the books listed below plus whatever else turns up in the meantime.

. E.V. Gordon. 1927. Clarendon Press. Tolkien read the proofs of the Grammar and made suggestions and corrections.
. S.R.T.O. d'Ardenne. 1936. University of Liege. JRRT helped with the revision of the glossary and grammar. Book is dedicated to him.
. E.V. Gordon. 1937. Methuen. Tolkien read the proofs, made corrections and contributions, and offered solutions 'to many textual and philological problems'.
