Contains Enigma Saxonicum Nuper Inventum - a variant of the first verse of the riddle-poem Enigmata Saxonica Nuper Inventa Duo.

Reproduced as part of a postcard sent to Dr. Henry Bradley on 29 June 1922. This version is an earlier variant of that published in A Northern Venture and The Annotated Hobbit (2nd Edition only).

The leaflet also contains details from a number of illustrations by Tolkien.
