Item 96 – A letter to Mr Capan of the Cambridge University English Club dated 16 December 1955. Tolkien declines an invitation to speak at a meeting saying "...I simply have not the time for the composition of any paper or address worthy of your notice and hospitality..."

The letter is not included in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien (1981).
