Contains Tolkien and Esperanto, an article by Arden R. Smith and Patrick Wynne (see pp.27-46). This article reprints Tolkien’s letter to the secretary of the Education Committee of the British Esperanto Association as published in The British Esperantist.

See pp.35-36.

The article also includes transcriptions and discussion of Esperanto extracts from the Book of the Foxrook. This is a notebook used by Tolkien in 1909, in which he recorded his earliest attempts at invented alphabets.

Further details can be found in Tolkien the Esperantist?
