Contains Tolkien’s poem Errantry.

See page 180.

The poem is reprinted in The Treason of Isengard (1989) along with an earlier version.

A revised form of the poem was published in The Adventures of Tom Bombadil.

The poem was further revised. Three later versions can be found in The Treason of Isengard (preceeding the version published in The Fellowship of the Ring) together with a later version that should have been published in the chapter Many Meetings in place of the version found there.
